Policies
Fees and Refund policy:
- Tryout registration holds a spot for the try-out only there is absolutely no refund for the tryout fee. However the tryout fee will go towards your total club dues.
- Membership registration is paid annually, and there will be no refund for any reason.
- Any player who does not attend the tryout will be assessed a $50 late fee which will be applied to the registration fee.
- A $25 late fee will also be applied if any payment is late this includes tournament fees.
Tournament Policies:
- Tournament fees and travel expenses are separate from the annual membership and are the player’s families’ responsibility.
- Amount of tournament entry fees will vary. They are based on roster number requirements and amount being charged by tournament directors. Fee also include administrative costs, coach’s/director's hotel accommodations, salaries, associated expenses.
- Tournament entry fees are due as scheduled. Late tournament entry fees received with less than two weeks until the scheduled competition will be charged an additional late fee of $75.00.
- Once a tournament entry fee is paid, it will not be refunded FOR ANY REASON if less than two weeks exist before the tournament (this include change of family plans, player injury, or illness). In addition, entry fees will not be credited to pay for a future tournament. Our rosters are submitted and coaches assigned based on the number of players who sign up. Inability for us to field a team that we have submitted, threatens our participation at future tournaments!
- All players are expected to attend all practices and elite tournaments. If a players is consistently absent, their placement on the team (elite or practice) will be in jeopardy and subject to dismissal.
- Playing time: Each year, StickBenders Lacrosse Club attends tournaments with a wide variety of competition levels. The goal for some of these tournaments may include participating for fun or even exposure on a local, regional or even national level. Some tournaments may include a championship format. At these more competitive tournaments, it benefits the entire StickBenders Lacrosse Club for our teams to do well. In those situations, playing time will be determined with the focus on winning. There are no guarantees on playing time.
- Players are discouraged from joining or committing to other travel lacrosse programs that interfere with their participation on the StickBenders Lacrosse Club. If "SBL" are attending a given tournament, our players who are interested in attending that tournament must play on the "SBL" roster. We do not want to compete against our own players. Only under certain circumstances may a SBL player participate with another club. Prior approval must be given by the Club Administrator Megan Vatland. Any violation of this policy will put the players membership in jeopardy and be subject to dismissal.
